DYE SUBLIMATION PATCHES

  • Products

Convert your detailed image or logo into a full-color design via our dye sublimation patches. Ideal for complex designs or small lettering, our dye sublimation patches add the perfect pop of color to your jacket, shirt, or uniform.
How it’s Made
Unlike traditional screen printing, sublimation patches require special ink that penetrates and bonds to patch fabric. The result is long-term durability and unlimited color options that produce near photographic image quality.
Once the design is selected and the dye adheres, the next step is to choose a finish. We offer a traditional merrowed or a laser die cut border option.
After the design is complete, we use the same patch backing options for our dye sublimation patches that we do for our embroidered patches. You may also choose our two step process that combines 100% embroidery and dye sublimation for a unique high quality finished patch. We highly recommend this option for small but complex designs that require an embroidered look.
Size Options
Our dye sublimation patches are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Check out our sample gallery to see examples of how we make our patches and the sizes that are available.
Are They Right For You?
If you have an organization that you’d like to brand, a sports uniform you need to properly advertise, then our sublimation patches are the perfect fit for you. No matter what your reason for choosing them, you can expect the highest quality photographic image quality for your design. Capture the finer details and gradients of your design with our dye sublimation patches. Get the clean and crisp look you’re after, with us.

Woven patches

  • June 29 , 2017
  • Products

As an alternative to embroidery we can turn your design into a woven patch. Woven patches have a slightly different look and texture than an embroidered patch. Which patch you choose is a matter of personal preference. Woven patches use a finer thread count so they have have a tighter woven 100% covered finish to them. We prefer to use woven patches on designs that have fine details and very small lettering. This helps to truly capture the various fine details without compromising on the patch quality. They also have a very flat and smooth two dimensional surface unlike the three dimensional raised effect that you get with an embroidered patch. Woven patches can also be used for achieving photographic realism. They are ideal for those of you who want to get patches with designs that use gradients, landscapes and human faces on them, even in very small spaces. Unlike embroidered patches where we can use 12 colors and go very large in patch size, woven patches are more limited size and thread colors. Woven patches can be finished with a laser cut border or if the patch shape will allow a merrowed border. Patch backing options are the same as with embroidered patches. We can use heat seal (iron on), plastic, adhesive (double sided tape), or Velcro backing (hook and loop sides). Deciding between a woven patch and embroidered patch is totally up to you depending on your requirements and needs. If you need assistance deciding between either woven or embroidered patches then please speak to one of our customer service representatives for assistance.

Chenille patches

  • June 28 , 2017
  • Products

Chenille is a fabric made with silk thread used in combination with wool or cotton and sewn in tightly woven loops to give a three dimensional look. The way we manufacture our chenille patches is by using a combination of chenille background with embroidered thread for the details. For border choices on your chenille patches we can use either a traditional embroidery outline border, thick fuzzy chenille border, or a laser cut felt border. Most chenille patches are done with a standard felt cut border on their finished chenille product. Chenille patches are most commonly used on varsity jackets or letterman jackets, as well as cheer leading sweaters and uniforms. A chenille letter which is also known as a varsity letter or an award letter, is the standard way to show spirit and accomplishment. You can choose between single felt, double felt, or even triple felt chenille letters and patches. The felt is the sturdy background on which the chenille is stitched. Single felt is the least expensive option where double felt has a layered look and will hold up better over time. We have also used chenille on motorcycle patches as well as various other sports organizations that use custom made patches. We have over twenty basic chenille thread and felt colors to choose from, as well as over three hundred embroidery thread colors for the patch details. Chenille patch backing options include heat seal, plastic, adhesive, or Velcro. There are a number of quantity discounts available on chenille letters, numbers, and custom patches. You can have your custom chenille products delivered in as little as two weeks versus six to eight weeks from many of our competitors. There is a six piece minimum order on all of our custom made chenille patches. Let us be your one stop for chenille appliques, custom chenille-embroidery patches, or chenille award letters and chenille number patches.

BJJ patches

  • June 21 , 2017
  • Products

We specialize in custom Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi patches. Embroidered BJJ patches need to be made with special threads and stitching techniques to hold up under the rough conditions of rolling and competition. We can also create your BJJ club logo as a woven patch. Woven BJJ patches are becoming a popular alternative to embroidered patches. We can get much finer details and a flat two dimensional look using finer woven threads. Keep in mind that you will be limited to 8 inches in size and 8 thread colors if you decide to create your BJJ logo as a woven patch. Just send us your logo and we will recommend the correct patch size depending on where you want to place them on your Gi. IBJJF rules require your sew your BJJ patches on in one of 13 different locations with space allowance for grabbing. We recommend using a heat seal backing so your patch can be ironed on in the correct location before sewing it in place. If you happen to be a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter and want to get a patch sewn on to your uniform, make sure you attach it to your gi the correct way. When sewing your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu patch on you can try out basically three options depending upon your skills and needs. The simplest way is to take it a Tailor or Dry Cleaners and have him or her sew it on to your Gi. This is the preferred way and will probably cost you around $15.00. If you want to save on this expenditure you can also sew it on either on by hand or using a sewing machine. It’s always a good idea to sew an X shaped pattern in the middle of the patch as well as around the edges. This will help keep your patch more secure and prevent it from coming off during training or competition. If you have any questions on patches or would like a free quote please contact us at any time.

Name patches

  • June 19 , 2017
  • Products

Name patches are most commonly used on uniforms including those for our military, emergency medical technicians, automotive, law enforcement, sports teams, and the healthcare industry. In most cases it is not advisable to embroider directly on leather, so motorcycle clubs and organizations also have a special need for custom patches. All of our patches are custom made to your unique specifications. You will be able to choose your thread, border, and background colors, as well as the shape, size, and font of your unique custom patch. We have over three hundred different threads to choose from including metallic, polyester, and fluorescent colors. Most custom patches use either a block or brush script font, although we can digitize custom fonts when needed. Custom name patches can be ordered with an iron on, plastic, adhesive, or Velcro backing. Most of our name patches are made standard with an iron on backing. The most common shapes are oval or rectangular, but we have done them in many other shapes and sizes. Rectangular patches can be done with squared or rounded corners. We can manufacture them in custom shapes with a laser cut border, but we prefer to use a merrowed border to finish the edge of our custom made name patches. Most of our name patches are done with a twill material background. This is a smooth colorfast polyester fabric that is available in over seventy different colors. Name patches can also be ordered with a one hundred percent embroidery filled background. Another reason to use name patches is that they are generally more affordable than direct embroidery. Unlike direct embroidery, they can also be removed and or replaced as needed. Try our custom patches and let us be your one stop location for all your custom embroidery and embroidered patch needs.

Custom Biker Patches

  • June 18 , 2017
  • Products

Advantage Embroidery can manufacture all of your custom biker patches. Motorcycle club patches are used to signify biker club membership, and there are different ways to set up your patches depending on the club or organization. Biker association patches are a single one piece patch, while biker clubs usually use a two piece patch to identify their clubs. There is a club logo center patch, with club name top rocker. The bottom rocker changes and will signify the city, or bikers location. These patches should always contain a unique club logo and name. Sometimes the biker club will use only a top rocker and no center patch. Title patches are used to identify the bikers position in the club, while name or road patches can have the bikers real name or moniker. Memory patches are worn in honor of deceased members, and are usually placed anywhere on their leather jackets. Biker travel patches are commonly used as mementos of events or places that have been visited. Twill is the basic background material used on most biker patches, although reflective twill and leather are also used on some occasions. Most of our custom biker patches will be going on leather so we will use merrowed borders, or in some cases laser cut borders for easy sewing. We do not recommend iron on backing for leather applications, as this may cause damage the the leather surface. It is best to sew your biker patches on or bring them to someone who is experienced at sewing on patches to leather.  Because of the thickness and texture leather is difficult to sew through. We supply custom biker patches to a variety of individuals and organizations, so feel free to contact us at any time for a free price quote. Custom Motorcycle and biker patches are one of our specialties.
